Madrid es una de esas ciudades que nunca me canso de visitar y siempre tengo ganas de volver. Además sé  que en algún momento de mi vida viviré en ella.

Sus calles abarrotadas, su gente y su manera de reinventarse me apasionan. Ver cómo cambia la ciudad tan rápido de unas semanas a otras mientras paseas por sus calles y descubres nuevos locales, tiendas, bares de copas. O todo lo contrario seguir encontrándote con los mismos comercios de toda la vida.

¡Madrid está viva y es vida!

En unas horas recorreré los 466 Km que me separan de la capital en busca de un respiro, un camino, un futuro.

¡Prometo volver con la maleta llena de fotos y novedades!

Mientras tanto os dejo unas cuantas fotos que hice con La Sardina en mi última visita a Madrid (Diciembre)

Madrid is one of those cities that I never tire of visiting and I have always wanted to return. I also know that it is a city where I'm going to live at some point in my life.

Its crowded streets, people and their way of reinventing I'm passionate about. Observe how the city changes so quickly from a few weeks to other as you stroll through the streets and discovering new stores, shops, bars. Or the opposite finding how the same stores still follow there.

Madrid is alive, is life!

Within hours I'm going to cover the 466 Km that separate me from the capital. In search of a breathe, a way, a future.

Mercadillos

Hace realmente poco tiempo me he dado cuenta de que los mercadillos y rastros son una de mis debilidades. ¡Y eso que han estado a mi lado toda mi vida! Desde pequeño mi familia me ha inculcado el acudir fielmente a la cita dominguera del rastro. Ahora extensible a mi pasión por acudir a cualquier mercadillo existente en una ciudad.

Cómo muchos sabéis Londres es por excelencia una ciudad de mercadillos. Desde el mítico Camden (ya demasiado turístico), el Portobello de los arts & crafts, Spitafields con su modernidad y tendencias en la City o Brick Lane (autenticidad underground) son los mercadillos más famosos y los que hasta el momento he visitado.

Aquí en España tenemos el enorme rastro de Madrid! Ropa, animales, antigüedades, intercambios de cromos e incluso aparatos electrónicos son algunas de las cosas que se pueden encontrar… un plan perfecto que se puede adjuntar con ir de cañas por el barrio y pasar una gran día de domingo.

  Con permiso del rastro y demás mercados madrileños, ha llegado a la ciudad el nuevo Mercado de Motores. En la Nave de Motores (Calle de Valderribas, 49; 0034 913 92 06 93). Ropa, muebles, plantas, restauración, bicis holandesas….  Una propuesta que tiene lugar el primer fin de semana de cada mes desde noviembre 2012.

Solo espero que no dejéis pasar la oportunidad de daros una vuelta por un mercadillo siempre que tengáis la ocasión. En estos lugares siempre se pueden encontrar pequeñas joyas, oportunidades únicas y gangas difíciles de superar. Además creo firmemente que estos sitios son una extensión muy representativa de la cultura popular de la ciudad, villa, pueblo, barrio...

Really short time ago I realized that markets and flea markets are one of my weaknesses. And that they have been with me all my life! Since childhood my family has instilled faithfully attend the sunday market appointment. Now my passion extends to attend any existing market in a city.


How many of you know London is a remarkable city of street markets. From the legendary Camden (now too touristy), the Portobello of arts & crafts, Spitafields with its modernity and trends in the City or Brick Lane (underground authenticity) are the most famous markets and so far I have visited.

Here in Spain we have the huge flea market of Madrid! Clothing, animals, antiques, trading cards and even exchanges electronics are some of the things you can find ... a perfect plan that can be attached with rods go around the neighborhood and spend a great day on Sunday.

With permission of the second-hand market and other markets in Madrid, the city has become the new Mercado del Motor. The Mercado del Motor (Valderribas Street, 49, 0034 913 92 06 93). Clothing, furniture, plants, restoration, Dutch bikes.... A proposal that takes place the first weekend of every month since November 2012.

I just hope you don't miss the opportunity to give you a tour of a market if you have provided the occasion. In these places you can always find little gems, unique opportunities and bargains hard to beat. I also believe strongly that these sites are a very representative extension of popular culture of the city, town, village, neighborhood...

Fotógrafo nacido en Lima (Perú) a sus 58 años está afincado en Londres, aunque confiesa que es difícil encontrarle en la ciudad más de 5 días seguidos.

Procedente de una familia acomodada le ha permitido estudiar Economía, Derecho y relaciones Internacionales en diversas universidades de Perú y E.E.U.U.

No fue hasta 1976 cuando se trasladó a Londres para comenzar su carrera dentro de la fotografía. Desde entonces pocas personalidades de la moda han logrado escapar de su objetivo, incluso parte de la realeza británica forman parte de su obra.

Pero si por algo se caracteriza Testino es por la que ha sido y es su debilidad, Kate Moss, su musa. Apasionado de Moss confesó que no pudo reprimir dar saltos de alegría el día que descubrió que sus fechas de cumpleaños coincidían (aunque fuera sólo en el día).

Uno de los principales logros que Testino ha cosechado en nuestro país ha sido su exposición en el Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza de Madrid.

Photographer born in Lima (Peru) at his 58 years is based in London, but admits that it is difficult to find him in the city more than 5 days.

Its provenance of a wealthy family allowed him to study economics, law and international relations at universities in Peru and the U.S.A.

It wasn't until 1976 when he moved to London to pursue a career in photography. Since then few fashion personalities have escaped of their lens, even part of the British royal family are part of his work.

But if anything characterizes Testino is his weakness, Kate Moss, his muse. Passionate Moss confessed that he couldn't repress jump for joy the day he discovered that his birthday coincided (if only in the day).

One of the main achievements that Testino has garnered in our country has been his exhibition at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Usual of European night is hard not to see him in an event. Unconditional of Seville and Ibiza, declares himself fan of the Spain who goes to the bulls and Amnesia.

Lana Lips

No es que yo suela hacer este tipo de comentarios o suela fijarme en estas cosas, pero.... ¿Qué le pasa a Lana del Rey en la cara? especialmente en la boca?

Desde hace un tiempo me he fijado que el tamaño de sus labios ha ido creciendo al mismo ritmo que su popularidad!!

En los últimos EMA's solo podía ver unos labios moviéndose de un lado a otro, eran hipnóticos!

Aquí os dejo una foto de ella cuando se hacía llamar Lizzy Grant (2010) y otra reciente como Lana del Rey (2012).

En la siguiente foto la podéis ver con un vestido azul de la colección de H&M que ha promocionado.

¿Alguien me explica la diferencia entre la realidad y la ficción?

Además he descubierto que ha creado tendencia! si no mirar esta página... ahora todo el mundo quiere los labios de Lana!

I don't usually make such comments and normally I don't pay attention at these things, but .... What happens to Lana del Rey in her face? especially in her mouth?

For a while I have noticed that the size of her lips has been growing at the same rate as her popularity!

In recent EMA's I could only see lips moving from side to side, were hypnotic!

Here you can check the change with a picture of her when she called herself Lizzy Grant (2010) and a recent one as Lana del Rey (2012).

Please, someone explain to me the difference between reality (she)  and fiction (The Road Runner)?
